Emirates is an international airline of the United Arab Emirates. Emirates ariline has destinations in 67 countries spanning six continents. St. Petersburg will be Emirates’ second gateway into Russia offering daily service to over 100 destinations worldwide via Dubai.
BC Communications organized an event for The Emirates Group to celebrate future airline service to St. Petersburg.
The event consisted of two parts: a press-conference held at Corinthia Hotel and a Gala Dinner at the St. Petersburg Ice Palace.
The press-conference was arranged by Ketchum Maslov, a Moscow-based PR agency, and supported by BC Communications. The press-conference was arranged to announce the launch of the first scheduled flight from St. Petersburg to Dubai. The event aroused great interest of St.Petersburg and Moscow media and over 30 journalists attended the press-conference.
Richard Vaughan, Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations Worldwide, Salem Obaidall, Emirates Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Europe & Russian Federation, Yury Molchanov, Vice-governor of St.Petersburg, Segey Emdin, the Managing Director of the Northern Capital Gateway consortium, and Egor Plakhov, Managing Director in Russian federation and CIS were the speakers at the press conference. They told the guests about Emirates aircrafts and importance of this flight for St.Petersburg and Dubai.
The Gala Dinner was one of Emirates’ largest publicity events and was coordinated and prepared by BC Communications. Over 800 guests attended the Gala Dinner in the evening.
Guests were given the opportunity to view features of Emirates’ flagship aircraft, the Airbus A380, with a replica of a First Class Suite.
Emirates gave a presentation stating their expectations for St. Petersburg and explaining their brand.
Richard Vaughan gave a speech at the end of the official Emirates presentation, welcoming guests, and dubbing Russia’s Northern Capital as Emirates’ Northern Capital.
Emirates showed its fluency in excellence with entertainment that included world famous Alla Duhova’s Ballet Todes, Valerya, one of Russia’s biggest pop icons and Dima Bilan, one of Russia’s most popular and talented artists.
Emirates held a prize-draw for guests, to include three vacation packages to Dubai.
The guests enjoyed the night and were highly appreciative of Emirates’ hospitality.
“Everything was arranged on the highest level. We wish Emirates prosperity on the Russian market and in St. Petersburg in particular,” Svetlana Sidorenko of Carlson Wagonlit Travel said.
“The entire atmosphere was so warm. The Ice Palace has never been so splendid,” Valeria said.
“I was very impressed with your professionalism, pro-activeness and ultimately your ability to deliver the event to our very high standards,” said Graham Rouse, Emirates Group Promotions Events Manager to members of BC Communications.
