On the 24^th July, 2010 an International Paper company day took place in Svetogorsk. For the first time the event was held in non-traditional, “record” format.

The state stadium has turned into the festivities center, where the visitors enjoyed numerous entertainments in three sections – Sports, Arts and Creativity.

The hit of the programme was the setting of the record. International Paper employees assembled the unique garland of 512 m 72 cm length, which consisted of 4 thousand paper elements.

The garland, which symbolizes the environmental responsibility of International Paper, was put in the Record book of Russia. Currently the procedure of putting the record into the world Guinness Record Book is being prepared.

The holiday was concluded by the performance of a famous Russian group “Yin and Yang”.

The holiday assembled approximately 5 thousand people.
