On April 28, 2011 Marketing Communications Agency BC Communications supported by analytical business edition Expert North-West magazine sterted their joint survey of the PR sphere in St.Petersburg.

"The survey is an important move towards consolidation of the PR industry. The results will assist in defining the most efficient instruments in PR sphere and the ways of its optimising, as well as assess the potential for cooperation between the corporate communications specialists," Olga Chernyshova, BC Communications managing Partner, commen

 "Unfortunately many PR specialists remark that public relations are perceived as something optional, unnecessary," Elena Smirnova, Head of PR Department of Expert North-West, adds. "One of objectives of our survey is to understand to what extend it is true. we would still believe that majority of companies have systematic approach to PR activities and consider PR a strategic function of management.

St.Petersburg PR market research is an on-going project which BC Communications see as a very important one. Previous surveys were carried out in 2005 and 2008 (you can find the survey results here). Comparison of the three surveys' results will not only provide for follow-up of the industry dynamics in St.Petersburg, but will also help the PR community to solve a number of internal issues.

The partners will present the results of the Survey in an extended analytical publication by Expert North-West.
